The Ostrich is part of Hilary Clark Cole’s Exotic Animals series of sculptures.
Cole’s African Animal series happened after a life changing few weeks in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia. Hilary and her husband Alex travelled on safaris every day, and nothing can be better than actually seeing these animals alive in the wild. “I chose a few as my subjects when I got home, and spent the next few months creating a giraffe drinking at a waterhole, an alligator, and an ostrich,” says Hilary.
The Ostrich is a welded steel outdoor sculpture.
Materials: Mild steel, Corten steel, stainless steel, heavy walled steel pipe.
Dimensions: 63”h x 24”w x 36”l
