Inspired by the ages when maps were embellished with sea monsters and decorative borders, this map of Georgian Bay will bring that charm and romance to your home or cottage. The map shows all of today’s place names but is rendered in the decorative style of those 17th century maps. Intricately drawn by hand in graphite pencil, the original of this map and others in the series took 100-150 hours to create and have been reproduced as signed prints on a parchment style of paper to embellish the old world feel.
As the most popular of the series of maps, it captures the entirety of the Georgian Bay area and probably the most elegant sea monster. It was followed by detailed maps of Gloucester Pool, Honey Harbour, Severn River, Bruce Peninsula and a soon to be released Manitoulin Island.
Print of an original graphite drawing. Size: 11"w x 14"h.
