This lucky and iconic Canadian artwork features a hand forged iron Maple Leaf inside an authentic steel horseshoe. The sculpture is easily displayed on a shelf or hung on your wall (using the holes in the shoe). Each version of this sculpture is handcrafted from a real horseshoe which has been cleaned and re-forged at our rural Niagara studio, turning it into a one-of-a-kind frame for the piece. Every maple leaf is also hammered completely by hand, so every version of this design is slightly unique. Once forged, the individual pieces are welded together to create the final artwork. The whole artwork is sealed with a clear varnish and then oiled, protecting against rust and adding a gentle shine.
