This is a different take on one of the most iconic landscape features in Muskoka - the Milford Bay rock cut on Hwy 118. Coming home from Bracebridge one evening, I was struck by the colour of the sky as the sun was setting. Traffic was light, and my girlfriend was with me to spot for cars on the road, so I took the opportunity. It was only after I got home that I appreciated that the colour of the sky was the same as that of the road markings, and that the light was playing off the water on the rocks on the side of the cut. There is a gritty texture to this shot, an aesthetic I think most people don’t usually associate with the ideal that is Muskoka.
