In my artist statement I say I am a fairly quiet person, but a loud painter.  This painting is one where I let everything out and just go with it.  I also remember reading the book by Maurice Sendak to my kids, Where the Wild Things Are.  And I have fond memories of the song "Wild Thing" by the Troggs from 1966.  All good memories.
