In spring 2021, I created a series of Magnolias - from the small 6x6" to the big 24x30". I took inspiration from photos of my flowering tree, and the magnolias from the RBG. I used palette knife and brush on sometimes very thick paint. It creates movement and unpredictable effects. You can see the branches of the magnolia and her flowers sparking in the cool spring air. Acrylic on gallery style canvas. Sides painted light gray. Protective satin gloss varnish. Ready to hang.
