Morning Moon by Taylor Bosada
Morning Moon by Taylor Bosada
This piece inspires me because not only is it an image that I captured myself on a crisp early morning walk in spring, but I think it offers a unique perspective of a Muskoka landscape. We all know and love our rocky shores and windswept pines but I can't help but be drawn to the spaces a little more out of reach, hidden in the dense bush with the blackflies and the spring peepers. This painting is inspired by liminal spaces, where winter and spring meet hand in hand, when the frosty dew sparkles as the warm sun peaks over the tree line and the light of day kisses the shadows of the moon's realm.
a poem inspired by this work:
to capture a moment
is only a sliver
of a bigger picture
not unlike the crescent moon
i can hear the spring peepers
they hush as my footsteps
brush the water's edge
morning moon.
