A burl is a rounded shape on the side of a tree that interrupts the tree's growth patterns and results in unusually formed wood. Muskoka has many Yellow Birch trees but burls are rare and valued.

The live bark edge, interesting shape and bark inclusions combine to create this one-of-a-kind and elegant bowl.
