Pink pines was painted from a memory of a favourite view. This one happens to be the view from my cottage looking at Lake Rosseau. It was painted on a fluorescent background as a practice exercise, but I loved the outcome. It makes me thing of a sunset. And the simplified pine shapes are dramatic, as they are in real life.
