Spent several early morning hours on a lake with this family of loons.  Kayaking allows you to be closer to the loons without being invasive.  We were still quite far away from the loons so as not to make them anxious.  Long lenses are good for capturing special moments like these from a safe distance.  Early morning paddles quite often allow for observation of the parents feeding their young.
